The Nut Tree in Vacaville, CA is a childhood memory for me. Now that it’s been rebuilt, I get to share that memory with my kids. Complete with a carousel, trains, life-sized checkerboard and chess board, merry go round, rides that cost a quarter, etc. this stop is perfect for a break from the road just off I-80.
Gar Woods Grill and Pier is located in Lake Tahoe at Carnelian Bay. It’s a great place to try a Wet Woody with the girls or just a date night with your hubby.
