We have been to Snip-its twice now; one occasion was for our son’s first haircut. We have seen the same stylist for our son both times and our daughter has seen two different stylists. All three stylists we sat with were incredibly friendly and helpful to make sure we all were comfortable. They always offer our daughter some glitter and a hair clip and there is always a dinosaur or car for our son to play with while the haircut is in progress. As the children are walking out after their haircut, the front desk always gives them a little card which they get to deposit into a machine at the front desk which then makes a bunch of noise and movement. It then produces a little toy, which thrills the kids. Our daughter’s first haircut took place in another salon and she was an absolute mess, she screamed and cried the entire time. Each time we have gone to Snip-its she was beyond excited to go and actually likes getting her hair cut now (and for a curly-haired little girl, that is a good thing).
The other great thing about Snip-its, we have never waited longer than 10 minutes to be seated with a stylist getting to work on our kids’ hair. I am sure there are times of the year that are a little busier, but if you give them a quick call before you head out to the mall, they will tell you how long their wait is at that time. Snip-its is definitely worth checking out!

Do tell me that when you took your son for his first hair cut that you saved a lock of his hair for his baby book. Nothing like looking back some 20 years later at the baby books and remember when……
What a great idea this establishment has to distract the children while getting their hair cut. As the attention span is so short with infants and toddlers, by involving them in an activity to distract their attention, the process of “sitting still” for more than a few minutes is less painful. In addition, by giving the toddler some type of treat at the completion of the process, the child and parent will be happy to return.
I took the 3 boys there for a haircut, and they had a great time. The older boys got some spray color put in their hair which they loved. It’s a bit out of our price range to go on a regular basis, but glad we got to experience it at least once. Very cute place.
Yeah, we like it. Where do you take your kids, Sara?
Sounds like a great place. I know when I took my son for his first haircut, he screamed his lungs out!! After that, the lady would come in early to cut his hair so clients weren’t in when she cut his hair. Embarrassing!!
If you’re looking for locally owned, try Hollylocks. Super cute!
Very cool, Jenna. There is a truck that parks on our street that advertises the Hollylocks business. Maybe that’s the owner. Maybe we’ll have to post a review for them in the future. Thanks for the comment.
Your kiddos are
adorable! We are so happy to hear that everyone had a good experience at our salon.
