First, as a disclaimer, up front, I was in no way prompted to write this review of the Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion, nor were any goods sent to me in exchange for my opinion or review. I own this product outright and paid out of my own pocket for it.

Now that the pesky disclaimer (for legal purposes) is out of the way, let the story begin. A couple weeks ago I took the plunge and decided to pay for the best option available at OnPurple.com for the best in tooshy/bum/backside/posterior/sitting comfort and now I am deciding to post an Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion review and I couldn’t be more happier about this decision to buy this great product. The Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion is like the Rolls Royce or Aston Martin of the seat cushion world.

Up to this point, I was sitting on the Portable Purple, another quality product from Purple, mind you, and before that, nothing at all. My tailbone was angry with me and my back had a few disagreements with how I was treating my body as well and they let me know it, daily. Prior to purchasing either the Ultimate version or Portable Purple, I watched an amazing video with a no-break egg test (psst, it is below if you’re curious) on a Purple Mattress and chose to take a chance on it. I guess, by this point you can put it all together and assume that I am a Purple fan boy. It also doesn’t hurt that one of my fraternity’s three colors is also purple. Sure, the investment was steep on each of these items, but my body and my health could not be more of a testament to the quality and satisfaction I feel owning a Purple mattress and two seat cushions. Their products, to put it mildly, are amazing and I haven’t had an issue with any of them at any time.

Life with Purple products is now filled with nothing but comfort, restful sleep and a thankful posterior. Thank you, Purple for developing such a great family of products. This Purple fan boy is one you have for life. It also doesn’t hurt that your videos are pure gold as well. Especially the Sasquatch one (you cand find it at the bottom of this Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion product review).

Now that I have spoken about all of the pros of this amazing product, let’s talk about the few cons. First, as this is a seat cushion, it is not a part of my office chair. That being said, it takes adjusting it from time-to-time to get it put back into place.

Second, as I am a tall person, my seat is already depressed to the shortest level possible to get my legs under my desk. Adding this seat cushion raises me up about a half inch to an inch where my legs barely fit under my pull out keyboard on my traditional desk. That being said, this problem is easily solved by taking my wallet, keys and iPhone out of my pocket and putting them on my desk while I work. This brings my height in my chair between my legs and the slide out keyboard down about a half inch to an inch.

Third, there is a cover on this cushion which will need to be washed from time-to-time, so please be aware that there is some care involved with owning the Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion and the Portable Purple or anything in between, depending on which one you choose for yourself.

Finally, the price point is a bit high for this product, but I took the leap and ponied up the cash for it and I am glad that I did. It was a great investment.

Phew, now that I got everything, potentially negative I have to say about the Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion out of the way, I can go back to singing its praises. If I could shout my love for all things Purple from the mountain tops, I definitely would.

Beware potential buyer: Buying the Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion could be your gateway drug into buying all things Purple. Just look at me, I started with their mattress and now I am sitting on sunshine, rainbows and all things magical when it comes to the feelings I get sitting on this wonderful, miracle of a seat cushion called the Ultimate Purple Seat Cushion.

Need to know: The investment is significant, but looking back, it is something that I would do 1,000 times over and over again to ensure that my health remains in a good place and my comfort while working from home remains high at all times.

Extra Extra: When it comes to Purple, always go for a thicker pad. The more thickness you have, the greater the comfort. Also, try the egg test you see in the video above if you happen to get this seat cushion. You’ll be amazed when you find the yolk’s not on you (pun intended) when you stand up.
